An excellent day led by Peter wth great patience and fortitude as we scrutinised the maps to distinguish ROW, edges of fields, permissive paths etc. In the afternoon we tackled compasses and practised outside despite the low 12degree temperature, after the 32 degree highs of last week . Then we mapped out a walk to follow. We started confidently in the mist and rain. Peter let us get lost - easily done ! - and then to find ourselves and get back onto the route - a very good learning experience ! Many thanks to Peter for a really useful day. Who will be the first to lead a walk now ??
